1. Dennis Evans

Evaluation: Evans is such an intriguing long-term prospect because of his legitimate 7-foot-1 frame to go along with the fact that he’s still just 16 years old. The lefty makes his impact on the defensive end of the floor with his ability to block, change and alter shots around the basket, while his elite length helps him to block jump shooters at the mid-range and three-point levels. Evans is still raw on the offensive end but has plenty of tools to work with. Finishes heavy to his left hand and over his right shoulder when his back is to the basket. Hasn’t developed confidence with his right hand yet. Can step out and knock down three-point shots off the catch with time and space. Evans isn’t a great vertical or lateral athlete and labors a lot when he sprints the floor in transition. The big key with future success for Evans will be the system and fit of a college program. His presence will likely slow the game down a lot due to his size and throwback skill set.
