NEWS: Hoops By Ugland Skills Summit coming to Orange County August 11

The inaugural Hoops By Ugland Skills Summit will commence Saturday, August 11 at a centrally located high school in Orange County. The one-day event, organized by Hoops By Ugland founder Devin Ugland, is open to players of all levels from the classes of 2019 (rising seniors) to 2022 (incoming freshmen).

Campers will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best skills trainers Southern California has to offer, including Fountain Valley high school head coach D’Cean Bryant and assistant A.J. Gasporra, along with Clint Parks of Clint Parks Skills Academy, Perry Webster, head coach of Fullerton College, and Aaron Wright of Get Wright Skills.

In addition, players will get to showcase their talents in front of some of the top prep basketball scouts in the area, including Frank Burlison of Burlison on Basketball, Joel Francisco of Prep Hoops SoCal and Ronnie Flores of Ballislife and Cal-Hi Sports, and Aaron Burgin of Full Time Hoops and Prep Hoops SoCal.

Former Glendora high school and Stanford University star Casey Jacobsen is set to be one of the esteemed guest speakers at the event. Jacobsen ranks fourth all-time in scoring in California state high school basketball history and went on to play 12 seasons professionally in both the NBA and overseas.

The camp is designed to provide players with foundational skills that are transferrable to on-court and game situations. The rigorous, hands-on skills session will be followed by camp games where the players are expected to give maximum effort and put to use the tools they were taught by our trainers.

The price per player is $75, which includes lunch provided by Ike's Place sandwiches, a full post-camp evaluation from Devin Ugland and each participant will be included in the Hoops By Ugland event report, which is distributed to college coaches across the country.

There will be no charge for parking and entry for parents and spectators is complimentary, as well.
